The Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Symposium
Arranged by the Alliance, in cooperation with the University of Arizona and NEMA Research, this symposium focused on the problems of Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Syndrome, deprescription, and for the unfortunate, recovery from the resultant Benzodiazepine Injury Syndrome. This symposium was hosted by the University of Arizona in Tucson on September 16, 2019.
The International Benzodiazepine Symposium
This was the 3-day symposium that inspired the formation of the Alliance for Benzodiazepine Best Practices. Following a brief introductory video, you can access presentations from a panel of experts on the issues and complexities surrounding benzodiazepines. This was held on September 15 through September 17, 2017, at St. Charles Health in Bend, Oregon.
Other Symposia
Other, smaller benzodiazepine symposia have been conducted, usually focused on a topic, like suicide and benzodiazepines. The presentations are viewable, and a podcast is available for download.
